{"id":195,"date":"2020-01-28T09:20:11","date_gmt":"2020-01-28T09:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/multiform.saini\/?p=195"},"modified":"2020-01-28T09:20:11","modified_gmt":"2020-01-28T09:20:11","slug":"wisdom-marine-orders-panamax-at-jmu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/multiform.saini\/2020\/01\/28\/wisdom-marine-orders-panamax-at-jmu\/","title":{"rendered":"Wisdom Marine Orders Panamax at JMU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Taiwanese shipping company\u00a0Wisdom Marine Lines is steaming ahead with its fleet build-up plans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To that end, the company has approved the purchase of a 82,400 dwt Nox Tier III bulk carrier from\u00a0Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU).<\/p>\n<p>Wisdom Marine plans to assign a total of USD 34 million for the construction of the ship.<\/p>\n<p>Japanese shipbuilders have been the preferred builders of Wisdom Marine\u2019s recent newbuildings.<\/p>\n<p>Namely, in February this year the company invested USD 68 million in two new NOx Tier III Panamaxes, which will also be built by JMU. The order came on the back of a similar deal reached with\u00a0Imabari Shipbuilding in January. Specifically, Imabari will build two 37,800\u00a0dwt<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>bulker\u00a0newbuildings for a total of USD 49 million.<\/p>\n<p>The order came on the heels of a buying spree from the end of last year which saw Wisdom Marine\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/238491\/wisdom-marine-buys-two-bulker-newbuildings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">order two<\/a>\u00a061,000 dwt bulkers\u00a0from Tokyo-based builder\u00a0Kawasaki Heavy Industries and buy a\u00a063,700 dwt bulk carrier from\u00a0Chijing Shipping.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the company\u2019s website data, there are 14 ships under construction for the company at seven Japanese yards.\u00a0 Three ships are set for delivery this year, four are set to follow in 2019, six in 2020 and one in 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Taiwanese shipping company\u00a0Wisdom Marine Lines is steaming ahead with its fleet build-up plans.
